अब 24 हफ्ते में भी हो सकेगा गर्भपात! अविवाहित महिलाएं भी करा सकेंगी, जानें- नया कानून || Abortions to be allowed at 24 weeks, New law Pass वर्तमान गर्भपात कानू लगभग पांच दशक पुराना है। इसमें गर्भधारण के अधिकतम 20 सप्ताह तक के लिए ही गर्भपात की इजाजत दी गई है। New Abortions Law 2020 नया  गर्भपात कानून देश में गर्भपात कानून को आसान बनाने पर विचार किया जा रहा है। केंद्रीय मंत्रिमंडल मेडिकल टर्मिनेशन ऑफ प्रेगनेंसी (एमटीपी) अधिनियम, 1971 में गर्भपात की ऊपरी सीमा को 20 सप्ताह से बढ़ाकर 24 सप्ताह करने पर विचार कर रही है। वर्तमान नियम के तहत प्रावधान है कि यदि विवाहित महिला या उसका पति की इजाजत पर ही गर्भपात होगा लेकिन नए प्रस्ताव में महिला के शादीशुदा होने की बाध्यता हटा दी गई है। अब अविवाहित महिला भी गर्भपात करवा सकती हैं। सूत्रों का कहना है कि एमटीपी विधेयक का मसौदा स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय द्वारा तैयार किया गया है और मंत्रिमंडल को इसकी मंजूरी पर निर्णय लेना है। वर्तमान गर्भपात कानू लगभग पांच दशक पुराना है। इसमें गर्भधारण के अधिकतम 20 सप्ताह तक के लिए ही
